Hello,
recently the pre main double star Z cma showed a stong photometric outburst according to the AAVSO special notice #232 http://www.aavso.org/aavso-special-notice-232
A new amateur international spectroscopic campaign has been designed to gather all amateur spectra observations concerning this outburst both in high and low resolution, visual and IR.

This star has a very spectacular spectra, showing spectral features of all types, emission, absorption, P_cyg, Doppler shift, broaden, jet under a nebular environment. Image capture during acquisition, 2D and 1D spectra in high resolution Ha

"new ARAS campaign around Z cma outburst has almost fifteen days and gathered 23 spectra from seven different observers.
Survey from both low, intermediate and high resolution spectra covering the whole optical and near IR range from 430nm to 920nm is showing an active system, with daily changes of profile and intensity of Balmer series, FeII, NaI, CaII, and bllue shifted HeI
We need more observers, specially in high resolution and IR domain. It is a very interesting object. At mV8 this exotic target is in the range of a double decimeter amateur scope with a large slit or slitless spectrograph. Typically exposure time is about 1H30 for having a good contrast between lines and continuum .

la campagne ARAS autour de l'outburst de Z cma a déjà 15 jours et récolté 23 spectres de sept observateurs différents. La surveillance de cet objet autant en basse, moyenne et haute résolution couvrant le domaine optique et proche IR de 430nm à 920nm montre un système très actif avec des changements journaliers de profils et d'intensité des séries de Balmer, FeII, NaI, CaII et HeI.
Nous avons besoin de plus d'observateurs surtout en haute résolution et en infra rouge. C'est un objet fascinant. A mV8 il est à la portée d'un télescope décimétrique amateur moyen et d'un spectrographe sans fente ou à fente large. Le temps d’exposition est de l'ordre d'une heure et trente minutes permettant d'obtenir un bon contraste raie continuum.
